Past Life Regression: Everything You Need to Know
Have you ever felt like you were carrying something that wasn’t fully yours—an emotion, a fear, a pattern that didn’t begin with you, but still lives inside your body?
Many of the people I work with sense there’s more to their story than what’s happened in this lifetime. They feel drawn to past life regression not to chase answers, but to feel what’s been waiting to be seen.
This isn’t therapy. It’s not a performance. And it’s definitely not about proving anything. It’s about creating a safe space where your body, imagination, and intuition can speak in symbols—and in truth.
Let’s explore what past life regression can offer through the lens of trauma-informed coaching.
What Is Past Life Regression?
Past life regression (PLR) is often described as a process where you relax into a meditative or lightly altered state and allow the subconscious to reveal imagery, emotions, or impressions that feel like they come from another lifetime. Some people see vivid scenes. Others just feel, sense, or know.
In my practice, I treat PLR less as a historical excavation and more as a kind of symbolic soul storytelling. Whether or not you believe in reincarnation, what matters is that the experience resonates with something real in your body, your emotions, or your healing journey.
Sometimes these stories speak directly to the patterns you’re working to shift—like people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, or chronic fear. Other times, they offer unexpected clarity or permission to be more fully yourself.
Why We’re Drawn to Past Life Work
People are often surprised by what brings them here. Some come after trying every other modality and still feel stuck. Others have a quiet sense that something deeper is shaping their present.
You might feel drawn to this work if:
You keep repeating the same relational or emotional patterns, no matter what you do.
You have fears, grief, or guilt that don’t seem to have a clear source.
You’re sensitive, intuitive, or spiritually connected—and feel like there’s a part of you that doesn’t quite belong here.
You have an inexplicable attraction or resistance to certain people, places, or time periods.
Whether what you access is “real” or not doesn’t matter as much as how it moves you.
“Will I See a Movie of My Past Life?”
Do I have to believe in past lives for this to work?
No. The regression experience often works on a symbolic level, like a dream. You don’t have to believe in literal past lives to receive healing.
Is it safe?
In a trauma-informed space, yes. We go slowly, stay present with your nervous system, and only explore what you feel ready to touch. Your body leads. You’re in control the whole time.
What if something scary comes up?
I work with somatic tools and grounding techniques that help you stay anchored. If anything feels overwhelming, we slow down, create space, and ensure your body knows it’s safe now.
What will I experience?
Some people see vivid scenes. Some just feel emotions, hear a word, or sense a knowing. All are valid. What matters isn’t how dramatic the memory is—but how it lands in your heart.
How Past Life Regression Fits Inside Trauma-Informed Coaching
I don’t use hypnosis. I don’t analyze or interpret your past life.
What I offer is a guided, intuitive, somatic process rooted in deep listening. The body holds what the mind forgets—and that includes emotional echoes from long before now.
We begin by regulating your nervous system and connecting with your body’s internal cues. From there, I’ll guide you into a gentle space where impressions may arise. You might meet a past version of yourself. You might witness a scene. You might just feel something unlock.
Throughout the journey, we’ll track sensation, voice, and inner imagery together—always honoring what feels right for you. Afterward, we’ll integrate the experience in a way that supports your real-time healing.
This is not therapy. It’s not psychic reading. It’s soul-based coaching—where your story unfolds in symbols, somatic shifts, and subtle knowing.
Preparing Your Inner Landscape
Before we begin, we take a moment to land together. This isn't about "clearing your mind" or achieving a trance—it’s about gently preparing your body and nervous system for what may arise.
Together, we create a sense of groundedness through breath, sensation, and intention. I might invite you to place a hand on your heart, feel your feet on the floor, or notice a place in your body that feels most settled. From there, we co-create a soft intention—not as a demand for answers, but as an invitation to receive insight. This process reminds your body that it’s safe to feel, sense, and explore.
After the Session: What Integration Can Look Like
What often surprises people is that the session doesn’t end when the experience does—the real unfolding happens afterward. Integration is the process of allowing what emerged to settle, to be witnessed again, and to gently make meaning from it in a grounded way.
Rather than give homework, I offer you somatic prompts that invite you to stay connected with the sensations, images, or emotions that surfaced. Maybe you hum a sound that came through. Maybe you write down a phrase or draw a symbol that lingers. These aren’t assignments—they're doorways into your inner world, continuing to speak, slowly and gently.
Honoring Boundaries and Emotional Safety
This process is guided, not forced. At every step, you are in charge. You can pause, shift direction, or simply name what feels too much. There is no right outcome and no expectation to revisit trauma or validate a “past life” as truth.
You are not being analyzed or diagnosed. This is not therapy or clinical hypnotherapy. This is an intuitive, trauma-informed experience where your emotional safety and sense of agency always come first. If deeper emotional material surfaces, we slow down together, grounding through sensation, breath, or presence.
What Might Emerge in a Regression
Everyone’s experience is different. Some people access vivid imagery that feels ancient or symbolic. Others connect with a deep inner voice, a sense of knowing, or even physical sensations they can’t quite explain. Often, what shows up connects to themes in your present life—like relationship patterns, unresolved grief, or an inner conflict you can’t quite name.
Some people feel as if they’re “remembering.” Others say it feels more like storytelling from the soul. Either way, the emotional clarity it brings can be deeply moving. Even if you don’t “believe” in past lives, the metaphors your body offers can reveal truths that your mind hasn’t been able to reach.
From Insight to Embodied Change
We don’t rush to interpret what happened. Instead, we gently track what has shifted. Has your body softened? Did a phrase or image stay with you? Do you feel more resourced, even if you can’t explain why?
This is where coaching supports you in translating the experience into your life. You may notice subtle changes in how you relate to others, how you express your voice, or how you honor your boundaries. You don’t have to figure it all out—you just have to stay connected to what feels truer now.
Is This Right for You?
You might benefit from this kind of exploration if:
You’re emotionally self-aware, but feel stuck on the same themes
You sense something unspoken holding you back, but can’t locate it
You’re open to spiritual or intuitive work, but also want grounded, body-based support
You want to understand your story—without needing a diagnosis or fixing
If You’re Curious…
You don’t have to be certain. You just have to be curious and ready to meet whatever arises with kindness and presence.
If you’re wondering whether this kind of journey is for you, we can start with a free 20-minute discovery call with Elisa Monti. There’s no pressure to decide anything—just a space to feel into it together.

Final Words

It’s a doorway into the roots of your patterns and the fullness of your inner knowing.
And it can be one of the most beautiful, unexpected steps in your healing.
