Overwhelm Coaching
Set boundaries, and move forward with clarity
When everything feels like too much, pushing harder usually makes things worse.
Overwhelm coaching gives you space to slow things down, understand what is draining your capacity, and find a steadier way forward. My approach combines trauma-informed coaching, nervous system awareness, boundaries, self-trust, and practical next steps.
What Overwhelm Coaching Can Help You With
Overwhelm coaching is not about teaching you how to squeeze more into your day.
It is about helping you create more internal space.
Together, we may work on:
identifying what is actually draining you
calming mental and emotional noise
setting clearer boundaries
reducing over-responsibility and people-pleasing
making decisions without endless second-guessing
creating realistic priorities
building nervous system steadiness
reconnecting with your own needs and voice
The goal is not to make you productive at any cost. The goal is to help you feel more grounded inside your own life.
Creating Nervous System Steadiness
When your system feels overloaded, your thinking can become noisy or scattered. You may procrastinate, freeze, shut down, or become unusually reactive.
We work with simple somatic and nervous system practices that help you return to yourself when things feel too intense.
This is not about staying calm all the time. It is about building the capacity to notice when you are becoming overwhelmed and having ways to come back into steadiness before everything spirals.
When You’re Carrying Too Much
Overwhelm does not always look dramatic.
Sometimes you are still working, responding to messages, showing up for people, and handling responsibilities. From the outside, you look capable. Inside, your mind is crowded, your patience is thin, and even small decisions feel harder than they should.
You may wake up already thinking about everything you need to do. You may struggle to decide what deserves your attention first. You might say yes when you are already stretched, then feel resentful or exhausted later.
And sometimes the hardest part is wondering why you cannot simply handle things better.
Overwhelm is not always a problem of discipline or organization. It can happen when you have been carrying too much, for too long, without enough space to recover.
Why Everything Can Start To Feel Like Too Much
There is usually more than one kind of load involved.
There is the visible load: work, responsibilities, decisions, relationships, commitments.
Then there is the internal load: overthinking, guilt, self-pressure, perfectionism, and the constant feeling that you should be doing more.
There can also be relational load. You may be tracking other people’s moods, anticipating their needs, avoiding disappointment, or taking responsibility for things that were never fully yours to carry.
When the nervous system has been operating under pressure for a long time, even ordinary demands can begin to feel enormous.
That is where coaching can help.
Boundaries And What Is Yours To Carry
Many people who feel chronically overwhelmed are carrying responsibilities that extend far beyond their actual capacity.
Maybe you struggle to say no. Maybe you feel guilty when someone is disappointed. Maybe you have become so used to being the dependable one that you no longer notice how much you are holding.
Coaching helps you get clearer about what belongs to you and what does not.
We can work on boundaries that feel honest and sustainable, without requiring you to become cold, distant, or rigid.
Reconnecting With Your Voice
Overwhelm can make it difficult to hear yourself.
You may know what everyone else needs before you know what you need. You may keep adjusting, accommodating, and explaining until your own voice becomes difficult to find.
I incorporate voice-based healing practices to support expression, agency, and self-trust. This is not voice training. It is a way of reconnecting with what feels true, what needs to be said, and what you may no longer be willing to override.
My Trauma-Informed Approach To Overwhelm
My work is grounded in trauma-informed coaching.
That means we do not begin by asking how you can become better at handling more. We begin by understanding what your system is already carrying.
I draw from therapeutic training, somatic awareness, intuitive coaching, nervous system regulation, and voice-based practices. This work remains coaching. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or clinical treatment.
The pace is supportive and practical. We work with what is happening in your life now and build changes that are realistic enough to last.
How Coaching Works
Sessions are held online and can be weekly or biweekly depending on what feels most supportive.
You do not need to arrive with a perfectly defined goal. If all you know is that everything feels like too much, that is enough.
We can start there.
Each session helps you sort through what is happening, identify what matters most, and leave with a clearer, more grounded next step.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Overwhelm Coaching?
Overwhelm coaching is a supportive coaching process for people who feel mentally, emotionally, or practically overloaded. It helps you understand what is contributing to the overwhelm and build steadier ways of responding.
What Does An Overwhelm Coach Help With?
Coaching can support you with overthinking, boundaries, people-pleasing, decision overload, emotional pressure, competing responsibilities, and difficulty knowing where to begin.
Why Do I Feel Overwhelmed Even When Nothing Major Is Happening?
Sometimes overwhelm comes from accumulation rather than one major event. Ongoing pressure, internal expectations, unresolved decisions, lack of rest, and carrying other people’s needs can gradually reduce your capacity.
Can Coaching Help If I Don’t Know What Is Causing My Overwhelm?
Yes. You do not need to understand the cause before beginning. Part of the work is slowing things down enough to identify what is taking up your emotional and mental space.
Can Overwhelm Coaching Help With People-Pleasing And Boundaries?
Yes. People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries can contribute significantly to overwhelm. Coaching can help you notice these patterns and practice clearer, more sustainable ways of responding.
How Is Overwhelm Coaching Different From Therapy?
This work is coaching, not therapy or counseling. I am a trauma-informed coach with therapeutic training, but I am not a licensed clinician and do not diagnose or provide clinical treatment.
Is Overwhelm Coaching Available Online?
Yes. All coaching sessions are offered online.
You Don’t Have To Solve Everything First
You do not need to organize your entire life before asking for support.
You do not even need to know exactly why you feel overwhelmed.
We can begin with what you are carrying right now, create space around it, and find the next grounded step together.
